Background
AABPS is a volunteer-run, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. AABPS is an independent society that was founded to address the needs of the growing number of Black physician scientists trainees and faculty.
Purpose
AABPS is dedicated to addressing the needs of current & future Black physician scientists with a focus on training, networking and career development.
Mission
Our core mission is to provide a resource-rich society that gives a voice to the Black physician scientist at all levels of training.
Objectives
Deliver educational and career development services for black physician-scientist trainees
Identify and address issues relevant to members and non-members
Provide a professional society for black physician-scientist trainees
Funding
AABPS is able to execute its Mission through sponsorships, donations and membership dues. AABPS is a nonprofit organization and as such all funds received are tax-deductible. As stated above, ALL sponsorships, donations and membership dues go directly toward funding AABPS' Mission. Because AABPS is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, no amount of any received funding is a part of any individual's, affiliated with AABPS or otherwise, salary and/or stipend.
