Nonmembers active in the Association may be proposed for this distinction in recognition of outstanding contributions to any medical or biomedical discipline and are elected by a majority vote of the Board. Honorary members have the privilege of membership (access to Association resources, funding opportunities, meetings) without payment of registration fees but do not have the right to vote or hold office. They do not pay initiation fees, dues, or assessments.
